JIOS is a peer-reviewed journal launched by UNSA in 2009 that seeks to encourage the creation of a distinct field of international organizations studies. It aims to provide a window into the state of the art in international organizations research, and function as a platform for interdisciplinary dialog on international organizations. The journal was first published in 2010.

Our Spring 2018 issue, the first published under the leadership of our new Editor-in-Chief, Henry (Chip) Carey, includes articles on the International Organization for Migration, the role of U.S. domestic politics, the inter-organizational collaboration between the World Bank and Transnational City Networks, ECOWAS, humanitarian NGOs as norm takers, next to book reviews and a new section with curated excerpts on new developments in international norms and governance.
